<![CDATA[Hello everyone,

My name is Kurt Kreassig and I want to tell you a little bit about this podcast titled Schoolhouse Life.

First, this podcast is meant to bring you Inspiring interviews and stories that delve into topics of importance and relevancy to educators today. The impetus for this podcast comes from my experiences that I’ve had over the last 30 years as a teacher, coach, principal, university faculty department chair, and university dean. Furthermore, my wife is also in education, and she’s served as a teacher, literacy coach, instructional specialist, reading specialist, and university adjunct for over 25 years.

The conversations that my wife I have about our day serving as educators when we get home from work truly reflect enormous changes in the field of education over the last 30 years – the good and not so good.

But most importantly I believe we must be hearing from our teachers and school administrators on the important issues facing our kids, schools, and communities and hear the terrific, funny, and inspiring stories as to why they do what they do. Take a listen - as this podcast shines a new light on some of the old and new issues facing our schools and tells of stories that last a lifetime for educators.
